About Jake
Jake Kell is a Safety, Risk and Compliance Consultant with over 15 years' experience helping organisations strengthen safety performance, manage operational risk, and achieve regulatory compliance in complex, high-risk industries.
Drawing on extensive statutory and leadership experience in the mining sector, including appointments as a Mining Engineering Manager and Open Cut Examiner, Jake has extensive expertise in risk management, safety leadership, compliance assurance, incident investigation, auditing, and management system development. He has worked closely with regulators, executive teams, and frontline personnel to create practical, fit-for-purpose solutions that improve both safety outcomes and business performance.
Jake holds a Bachelor of Mining Engineering, an MBA, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). His career has been shaped by a diverse range of operational, technical, and leadership experiences, including international study and industry exposure. A member of both the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) and the Mine Managers' Association of Australia, he is an active contributor to industry knowledge-sharing and professional development initiatives.
